"Love
and intimacy are the root of what makes us sick and what makes
us well. I am not aware of any other factor in medicine - not
diet, not
smoking, not exercise... not drugs, not surgery - that has a
greater impact on our quality of life, incidence of illness
and premature death."

What
Do Chiropractors Really Do?
Chiropractors
are specially trained to locate and correct spinal nerve stress
(also known as vertebral subluxations).
Subluxations weaken your body, stress organ systems (such as
digestion, elimination, respiratory), lower resistance to
disease and affect posture, height, brain function
and overall health.
Vertebral subluxations can occur at any age. In fact, children
get them from falls, birth trauma or other forms of stress.
Subluxations gotten from infancy or a childhood fall may remain
in your body for life unless corrected. Many adults today suffer
ill health from subluxations they got in childhood.
Chiropractors
are especially trained to locate and correct subluxations using
the science and art of the chiropractic spinal adjustment.
Spinal adjustments are gentle procedures used to realign
vertebrae and free your body from subluxations.
For
your body parts to work at their fullest, for your resistance to
disease to be high and for you to have the energy and strength
to heal yourself fully and naturally, bring in your spine for a
chiropractic spinal checkup. It's a great thing for everyone to
do - young and old. We adjust spines while you wait!

Chiropractic
Better Than All The King's Horses and All the King's Men?
World
class athlete Martina Navratilova says, "A chiropractor was
instrumental in putting my body back together. I've visited the
chiropractor many times for a variety of problems and solutions.
As Americans become more aware of the need for preventive
medicine, alternative therapies will play a bigger role in our
lives. After all, people like what works." (1)

Many
people ask, "What exactly is the difference between
chiropractic and medicine?" Perhaps the greatest difference
is that chiropractic is expressive and medicine is suppressive.
Much of the practice of medicine involves the suppression of
symptoms with drugs. Fever? Lower it. A rash? Get rid of it.
Anxious? Take a pill. Drugstore shelves are lined with
preparations mostly designed to suppress your symptoms and make
you feel better. There's nothing wrong with feeling better as
long as you're not just covering up symptoms and are getting to
the cause of the problem. Unfortunately drugs don't really get
rid of symptoms, instead they drive th em deeper into your body.
It
has long been observed that suppression of acute (short lived)
symptoms may lead to chronic (long lasting) illness. Presently
about half the population of the US suffers from chronic
illness: allergies, asthma, arthritis, diabetes, cancer, immune
system disorders, mental illness, heart disease and many more.
Many feel that constant suppression of acute symptoms is the
reason for the epidemic of chronic illness. Chiropractic and
other forms of natural healthcare promote your body's expulsion
of poisons, so you may cleanse and heal yourself.

Words
of Wisdom
One
evening an old Cherokee Indian told his grandson about a battle
that was going on inside himself. He said, "My son, it is
between 2 wolves."
"One is evil: Anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed,
arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies,
false pride, superiority and ego...
"The other is good: Joy, peace, love, hope, serenity,
humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth,
compassion and faith..."
The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his
grandfather, "Which wolf wins?" The old Cherokee
simply replied, "The one I feed." |
Peer
Pressure
"The
Indians had no scurvy and neither did the few daring (Pilgrim)
Colonists who followed the Indian custom of drinking hemlock
tea. (They) were accused of being protected by the devil from
the illness…Those free of (scurvy) were put under surveillance
and suspected of hemlock tea drinking. Amazingly, most people
chose to have scurvy, rather than be ridiculed or burned at the
stake as witches." (2)
Pregnant/Breastfeeding?
Avoid Vaccination
When
his grandson developed autism after receiving hepatitis B and
MMR vaccines, Edward Yazbek, MD, started investigating the
vaccination-autism relationship. He studied 76 women who were
vaccinated near conception or just after delivery. Of the 76,
forty-four of them had children with autism spectrum disorder, 9
had children with developmental delays and severe ADHD, 4 had
children with immune and other difficulties. Dr. Yazbek states:
" You cannot breastfeed and be vaccinated…the best thing
you can do is do not get
vaccinated if you want to breastfeed."
The virus from the vaccine is found in breast milk. Dr. Yazbek
believes that children who react to vaccines may be sensitized
by the vaccines their mothers receive. (3) |
Chiropractic
in the Military
In
October of 2002, Fort Bragg began offering chiropractic care to
active-duty soldiers for the first time in history. The
chiropractors there have been pretty busy providing care to
soldiers. Chiropractic is now available at a growing number of
military installations and is expected to be offered to all
active-duty service members within the next five years.
In the past, soldiers had been going off post and paying
out-of-pocket for chiropractic care. Now they can get care
without the hassle (4) |
Chiropractic
and Spinal Research
Did
you know there are thousands of papers describing the wonders of
chiropractic and spinal care? Remember, a person with any kind
of health problem needs chiropractic. Feel free to forward these
studies to others. Write us with any questions.
Does
Vision Improve With Chiropractic Care?
A
22-year-old man visited a chiropractor for neck pain. Although
his vision was considered to be in the 'normal' range, as
measured by computerized static perimetry, it was tested before
and after a spinal adjustment. After the adjustment there was a
measurable improvement in the visual sensitivity of both eyes.
(5)
Urinary Problems.
A 65-year-old man needing to urinate every half hour, also had
lower leg pain, parasthesias (nerve sensations), walking
problems, and visual problems following back surgery. He also
had high blood pressure and gout of his right big toe, fingers,
ankles and elbows. He was on medication for gout and high blood
pressure. Twice as a child he suffered from head trauma.
The evening after his first spinal adjustment he experienced
shock-like sensations into his arms and legs, chills, fever,
hand coldness, sweats, increase frequency of urination, gluteal
muscle soreness and loss of appetite. By the next morning the
symptoms disappeared. He apparently had a healing crisis. His
body continued to heal. He now urinates a few times a day, his
numbness and tingling resolved, he is walking better, his legs
feel stronger and sitting and standing are less troublesome. He
also doesn't need reading glasses anymore! (6)

Humor
A
woman brought a very limp parrot into her vet. As she lay her
pet on the table, the vet pulled out his stethoscope and
listened to the bird's chest. After a moment or two, the vet
shook his head sadly and said, "I'm so sorry, Polly has
passed away."
The distressed owner wailed, "Are you sure? I mean, you
haven't done any testing on him or anything. He might just be in
a coma or something."
The vet rolled his eyes, shrugged, turned and left the room,
returning a few moments later with a beautiful black Labrador.
As the bird's owner looked on in amazement, the dog stood on his
hind legs, out his front paws on the examination table and
sniffed the dead parrot from top to bottom. He then looked at
the vet with sad eyes and shook his head.
The vet took the dog out, and returned a few moments later with
a cat. The cat jumped up and also sniffed delicately at the
ex-bird. The cat sat back, shook its head, meowed and ran out of
the room.
The vet looked at the woman and said, "I'm sorry, but like
I said, your parrot is most definitely 100% certifiably
dead."
He then turned to his computer terminal, hit a few keys and
produced a bill which he handed to the woman. The parrot's
owner, still in shock, took the bill. "$150, she cried,
$150 just to tell me my bird is dead!!!"
The vet shrugged. "If you'd taken my word for it the bill
would only have been $20, but what with the Lab Report and the
Cat Scan…. |
